Definitely bears the marks of being back-engineered into a radial rather than designed ground-up - since it doesn’t have a common journal. OTOH, the Guiberson and some others have been separate journaled like this.
I wonder what firing order it will use. Since it’s not common journal, there’s no actual need for the same kind of sequential firing other than smoothness.

They could have made it cam-action for the lulz.
There are several precedents on geared multi-crank radials, like the Bristol Hercules:
I know I’ve seen one that was geared, single-bank, and had only eight cylinders, which for some reason I was thinking was a Guiberson diesel, but I was wrong.
